Crockett Veterinary Hospital is committed to providing quality animal care, services, and products. We have four veterinarians on staff to handle routine and preventative care, surgery, and medical emergencies. Our facility has the ability to treat dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and other small and large exotics. We are equipped to handle all your large and small animal needs. We have a large spacious main building that consists of three exams rooms, a treatment area, a surgery room, a fully stocked pharmacy, and an air conditioned kennel area with numerous large and small kennels for hospitalizing and boarding small animals. In addition, we have a separate horse barn with stalls, a surgery room, and treatment area to A/I, ultrasound, float teeth, castrate, and provide preventative care. We also have a separate cow barn with all the necessary facilities to A/I, trim hooves, palpate, vaccinate, brand, dehorn, and treat all your bovine problems.

    Dan Lee Craven, DVM

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Dan Lee Craven is a 1995 Graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Craven was born and raised in Houston County. In 1997 Dr. Craven purchased the Crockett Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Max Harkins. Dr. Harkins had owned and operated the Crockett Veterinary Hospital since 1949. In 1999, Dr. Craven moved the practice to its current location. Dr Craven provides  services for large and small animals including preventative care, reproduction exams, diagnostic radiography, in-house diagnostics, ultrasound, routine and comprehensive surgeries, and a number of other services. Dr. Craven and his wife have two daughters. In his spare time you will find him at the lake with his family. He also enjoys hunting, golfing and having fun with his family and friends. 
  • Tamera K Schneider, DVM

    Tamera K. Schneider, DVM

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Tamera Schneider is a 1997 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Dr. Schneider came to work at Crockett Veterinary Hospital in September of 2009. She had been practicing in central California for the previous five years and before that she was the sole proprietor of a mixed animal practice in Mid-Michigan. Dr. Schneider has over 27 years of experience in the veterinary field. Special interests include equine reproduction, periparturiant mare and foal care, and dentistry. In her spare time Dr. Schneider enjoys breeding and showing Pembroke Welsh Corgis.

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Amanda Curry is a 2015 graduate from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but particularly enjoys small animals and is beloved by many clients of CVH. Dr. Curry enjoys baking in her spare time and spending time with her husband and young daughter.

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Ashley Rothrock is a 2023 graduate from Texas A&M of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys the small animal aspect of veterinary medicine, but also has a life long love of horses and specializes in all facets of equine reproduction. She spends most of her time outdoors, riding horses, camping, and hiking.

  • Michael Allen, DVM

    Michael Allen, DVM

    Veterinarian
    Dr. Michael Allen was born and raised in Crockett. Dr. Allen graduated Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2006. He came to work for Crockett Veterinary Hospital in July 2008. Dr. Allen is a large and small animal veterinarian with interests in small animal surgery, both routine and orthopedic, and small animal preventative medicine. On the food animal (cattle) side Dr Allen engages in herd health management, lameness exams, breeding soundness exams on bulls, and cattle reproduction including, artificial insemination, embryo collection and transfer. Dr. Allen believes in promoting agriculture to the youth of our community. In his spare time you will find him spending time with his wife. They enjoy boating, fishing and taking care of their cattle.
